gravity pill is the playing out iteration of the Grey and Gold House Band. Members include mainstays of the Blue Mountains area live music scene. With wide ranging influences and years of playing local clubs and festivals, gravity pill is a project taking a markedly different tack. Intentionally navigating away from the standard classic rock and blues based covers, gravity pill has turned the dial back to the roots of funk. Steeping their efforts in the works of pioneers like The Meters and Booker T. & the M.G.’s, with the goal of bringing audiences a classic and original, energetic mix of tight melodic grooves and syncopated rhythms, under highly charged guitar and keyboard riffing.
Having spent the winter of 23/24 putting the polish on, gravity pill is excited to be booking out for the summer. A spot at the Mad River Rocks Festival in August has been confirmed, with more to be announced.
